Born and raised in Alexandria, Virginia, Dr. Trinh earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of Virginia. She earned her Master’s degree in microbiology and her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the Medical College of Virginia, where she graduated with honors.
Dr. Trinh realized her dream of becoming an endodontist after working as a general dentist finding fulfillment in caring for those in the most need, patients in pain. She went on to pursue Endodontics at the University of North Carolina. At UNC, she was mentored by leading clinicians and researchers in the field while teaching predoctoral students and serving the community of need. She developed the technical skill for practicing supported with critical knowledge to maintain excellence in the field.
Throughout her education and career, she has been immersed in many different communities of varying backgrounds. She has learned from everywhere she has been fortunate enough to live and work, from the diverse suburbs in Northern Virginia to the veterans and military families in North Carolina. These connections have given her a deep empathy for all her patients. She volunteers her time to these communities through projects such as Mission of Mercy, Give Kids a Smile, and free clinics.
A member of the American Association of Endodontists, as well as the national and local American Dental Associations, Dr. Trinh is board-eligible and currently pursuing her certification from the American Board of Endodontics.
Dr. Trinh is excited to be settled back in Northern Virginia with her husband and daughter. She and her husband are in constant pursuit of delicious food (especially sushi!) at local restaurants. Her family loves having outdoor adventures with picnics, hikes, and parks. She finds peace in her free time through running and always looking for new trails to explore.
